The Snowy Day(s)

and the snow was all around me......

and the snow was all around me……

I DO look forward to winter and the possibility of snowy weather. Not the actual cold or icy road conditions, so much as it is the opportunity to hike out in the woods and enjoy the sights of winter. My path may be the same, but the view is different.

Remembering the blackberry jungle of summer.

My friend is still in the garden.

My friend is still in the garden.

Since I’ve been inside–most of the time anyway, I’m getting a lot of creative reading, writing and drawing completed. But a walk in the woods and around the garden is good, too. My muse is calling; I listen, and I begin to work……I hope you are getting something creative accomplished, too.

Adjustments

Blowing in the breeze!

Blowing in the breeze!

She’s UP! (Sort of…)

and so far, can withstand thirty-mile-an-hour winds.

I enjoy watching the beautiful windmill turn and move. She glides with not much effort, at first glance.

I know better.

She’s there to remind me that I also need to “buckle down,” whenever I make the effort to get past obstacles as I pursue Creative Endeavors. Like pushing through that first draft, distractions=wind. I adjust. I find balance. And move on.

I trust you have your own ways of dealing with distractions in your creative pursuits. Best of luck and Happy Creating!
